New hockey accreditations and courses launched

Hockey Australia is excited to release three new accreditations and courses.
The additions are the Foundation Support Judge accreditation, Foundation Facilitator accreditation, and a short course on the importance of an Acknowledgement of Country (AOC).
Since the implementation of the new HockeyEd platform, people in the Australian hockey community have enrolled in over 1,200 courses and accreditations.
Adding to the National Accreditation Framework, the Foundation Support Judge and Foundation Facilitator Accreditations will provide new, formal learning opportunities.
The Foundation Support Judge is a FREE, online accreditation that provides an opportunity to learn the fundamental skills required to undertake the role of a judge on game day. This short accreditation is undertaken completely online, and participants receive their accreditation upon completion. Learn more about the Foundation Support Judge here.
The Foundation Facilitator is an integral component of the accreditation framework, providing training on areas such as delivering workshops and undertaking assessments. The Foundation Facilitator comprises two parts – the first an online course and the second a three hour online workshop. As a part of Hockey Australia’s ongoing commitment to supporting First Nations people, the short course on the importance of an Acknowledgement of Country provides an opportunity to gain a greater understanding on how to deliver an AOC, along with learnings around the traditional names of country.
