Hockey Australia appoints new President

Board Director Ross Sudano has been appointed Hockey Australia (HA) President.

Sudano is a successful CEO in the consumer sector and currently runs his own business consultancy. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), has a Degree in Economics at the University of Western Australia and vast experience in strategic planning.

Sudano has demonstrated leadership qualities and history of building high performing leadership teams, coupled with a passion for getting the best out of people.

Having joined the HA Board in November 2020, Sudano is also a former AIS hockey scholarship holder and remains actively involved in local hockey in Melbourne as a player and coach.

He takes over the role of President from Mel Woosnam, who ended her tenure on the HA Board last month.

Sandra Sully and Pat Hall were reappointed Vice-Presidents at the final HA Board Meeting of the year.

HA also advises Sally Carbon OAM FAICD has been appointed to the Board of Directors.

A member of the Hockeyroos’ 1988 Olympic gold medal winning team, Carbon has developed extensive experience and expertise in an impressive professional career.

She has held down several executive and director roles and currently runs her own business strategy company, G11 Team in Perth.

Carbon is one of four new additions to the Board along with Brent Clark, Joanne Scanlon and Colin Murphy.
