Hockey has a proud record of evolving with the times and over the years has not been afraid to change its rules to accommodate changes in the game.
All forms of hockey are governed by the rules of hockey as set down by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The latest Rules of Hockey, Rules of Indoor Hockey, Hockey 5s Rules and notification of any amendments to rules can be found on the FIH website here.

At local, regional and state level, regulations may differ for different competitions. It is important to always be familiar with the rules and regulations of the competition in which you are playing.
