Debut: 5/9/2015 v Korea @ Perth

New to the national women’s development squad in early 2015, forward Stephanie Kershaw showcased a mix of skill and power at the national women’s training camp in Perth, which awarded her the chance to debut in the Hockeyroos’ bodysuit at the Perth Korean Tests in September and to secure her place in the Australian women’s Olympic training squad in 2016.

In late 2015, Kershaw’s training was put on hold after she injured her knee during a training session, an injury which ruled her out of contention for the Rio Olympic Games and for the remainder of the 2016 season.

A proud Queenslander, Kershaw won the Player of the Tournament at the 2017 Australian Hockey League when her state finished as runners-up. Kershaw’s heroes include Cathy Freeman, Nikki Hudson and Serena Williams.
