||||
Penny is eyeing her first Olympic Games after she cruelly missed out on the Tokyo 2020 (21) Olympics due to a nasty injury that she picked up after she was selected for the Australian team. After a 2022-23 season where she played every game, Penny has had a rough 2024 in the build-up to Olympic selection, while she’s been recovering from another injury which has seen her miss the FIH Pro League and the Perth International Festival of Hockey. Penny is back for the FIH Pro League in Europe and is looking forward to her opportunity to showcase her incredible talent on the pitch. Penny hails from WA’s Great Southern region and grew up on a farm 4 hours south of Perth. She was added to the National Senior Women’s Squad in 2019 following her international debut late in 2018. Penny scored in her maiden tournament. She missed selection into the 2020 Hockeyroos squad but forced her way back in for 2021. |
