Mariah’s enjoyed a stellar career and brings a lot of experience to the Hockeyroos 2024 squad. Eyeing her third Olympics in Paris this year, Mariah received her first international cap at the age of 17 during a Test series against Korea in Perth. Competing at the top level ever since, Mariah made her Olympic debut at the Rio Olympics in 2016, having only returned from injury 5 weeks before the Games. She went on to score against Japan. Her journey to the Tokyo Olympics was just as rocky and her Olympic journey has often been a story of great resilience. Despite being born without one of the ligaments in her knee, Mariah picked up a hockey stick at the age of four and says a school visit from Kookaburra Stephen Davies inspired her to commit to hockey and chase her Olympic dream.
