Maddi enjoyed a standout debut at home in Tasmania in front of a passionate Hobart crowd, when the Hockeyroos took on Argentina in February 2023. Maddi received the call up after a impressing at the Hockey One League and in the Jillaroos set up, as well as outstanding junior national championships where she earned four Player of the Tournament medals. Maddi comes from a talented hockey family. Her mum Susan was a former Australian Under 21 player while her dad, Alistair, represented Tasmania. Brooks has also played alongside her twin sister Taylor for Tasmania and her older brother Josh has also been on the Tassie men’s team. |
