Hockey Australia is delighted to welcome Westcare Ambulance to its stable of partners.

Westcare Ambulance is a Western Australian based medical service and pre-hospital care provider prioritising safety and affordability without compromising the quality of care.

The agreement will see Westcare Ambulance recognised as the medical service provider for Hockey Australia’s suite of national championships.

In addition, Westcare Ambulance will also deliver their services at the JDH Hockey One League 2024 Season, which also included a presence at the recent Hockey One League 2023 Finals in Canberra.

“The outstanding calibre of Westcare’s training and qualified resources will be of huge benefit for our national events,” said HA Chief Revenue Officer David Lee.

“Both parties have a strong emphasis on safety and one specific element they are keen to help us with is further establishing a national concussion policy and standardisation in other critical areas.”

“They have a comprehensive Event Medical suite of services and we look forward to having them associated with hockey in Australia.  We jointly aspire for hockey to be recognised as the safest team sport nationally.”

Westcare Ambulance said a priority for the company is to expand its brand presence nationally and better utilise localised resources in all states and territories in relation to event service involvement.

“We look forward to enhancing medical support at national championships and events, working closely to establish safety standards, including a national concussion policy,” said Westcare Ambulance Chief Operating Officer Lorna Anderson.

“This partnership aligns with our goal to expand our brand presence nationwide and provide Australia’s best value for money event medical services.”
