A line-up of experts and talent from hockey circles across Australia have been assembled as judges to decide the winners of the Hockey Heroes Volunteer Photo Competition.

The judges will be selecting the best entries based on how well the photo captures the essence of Hockey Australia’s values (leadership, integrity, excellence and/or inclusion) and the spirit/character of the local hero and the originality, creativity and composition of the photo, with a focus on the community and grassroots elements of the game of hockey.
“The Hockey Heroes Photo competition has been a resounding success so far. It has clearly struck a chord with the Australian hockey community with so many jumping at the chance to showcase the many valuable and integral volunteers we have in the sport,” said Hockey Australia Chief Growth Officer Suzanne Henderson.
“Each of the judges on the competition panel play an integral part of growing the profile of hockey in Australia and making it the best sport it can be.”
“With photo entries coming from all over Australia, we wanted to have judges who herald from various parts of the country.”
