International Volunteer Day

"On International Volunteers Day, it provides a more than appropriate opportunity to sincerely thank the countless number of volunteers that give freely of their skills, time, effort and energy to all levels of our sport.

It is a common adage that without volunteers, sports and events would fail to function or happen, and this is no different for hockey in Australia.

Volunteering is often a thankless task but one that is integral to the success of sports, both at the elite end of the playing spectrum right down to those who are the first ones to arrive at their local clubs and fields to ensure the participants can play and experience everything that is great about hockey.

So on behalf of Hockey Australia, thank you to each and every volunteer who make all of our events and competitions possible! Your commitment and dedication is greatly valued and appreciated."
