Hockey Australia is pleased to announce etrainu as its preferred Learning Management System partner.

The 4-year partnership will see etrainu provide a new Learning Management System that will redefine course development at all levels of Australian hockey.

The LMS provides e-learning support through the flexibility of online training. Users will have the ability to control their learning pace and learn remotely, increasing the effectiveness of coach and officials development.

Online modules and resources can be easily aligned with courses and then reinforced in face-to-face settings, helping to maximise the participants' engagement and learning experience.

“We are excited to be partnering with etrainu, a leading provider of blended learning and training, as Hockey Australia’s preferred HockeyEd partner,” said Hockey Australia Operations Manager, Liam Dixon.

“We look forward to working with the team at etrainu to help us bring together the knowledge and resources in building e-learning opportunities that will support the development of coaches and officials at all levels.”

Hockey Australia’s Acting CEO, Michael Johnston said: “The new Learning Management System represents a commitment by Hockey Australia to invest in the development of our coaches and officials from a community level right through to the high-performance space.

“The release of the LMS follows the recent launch of the Coaching and Officiating Framework, providing a user first experience and supporting the development of the next generation of coaches, officials and participants.”

Speaking on the new partnership, etrainu’s CEO, Paul Hoon, said: “etrainu is excited to be partnering with Hockey Australia, one of the top sports organisations in the world, to support their new Education Framework and centralise their learning for all users.”

“Our strength lies in providing a cohesive integrated learning solution and this will enable Hockey Australia to have all aspects of learning delivery, from training modules to scheduling, all in one place, with learner data flowing to their membership platform revolutioniseSPORT.”

Hockey’s state and territory Member Associations are fully supportive of etrainu and its capabilities.

“The etrainu platform is a user friendly Learning Management System that integrates NSO courses into the one platform,” said Hockey Queensland’s Education Co-ordinator, Margaret Dilger.

“Courses, assessments and instructions are all developed with the end user front of mind, ensuring a vibrant interactive learner experience.”

“We look forward to working with, utilising and supporting the platform for Hockey Australia’s Coaching & Officiating Framework and expanding our members’ knowledge.”

Hockey Victoria’s Game Development Manager, Peter Wroblewski added: “etrainu’s platform will allow Australian hockey to have a reliable source of education, whilst ensuring sustainability and growth into the future.

“Australians can expect a modern, user-friendly experience through each step of their education journey.”
