Principal Partner – Australian Sports Commission

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is Australia’s primary national sports administration and advisory agency, and the cornerstone of a wide-ranging sports system.

On behalf of the Australian Government, the ASC plays a central leadership role in the development and operation of the Australian sports system, administering and funding innovative sport programs and providing leadership, coordination and support for the sport sector.

The ASC works closely with a range of sports, state and local governments, schools and community groups to ensure sport is well run and accessible so that everyone can participate and enjoy the benefits. It also works, through the Australian Institute of Sport and state and territory institutes and academies, to develop Australia’s elite sportsmen and women.

The ASC strives to uphold the integrity of sport through innovative programs that promote ethical sporting practices and improve access to sporting quality opportunities for all Australians.
