This form is to nominate for selection in the 2024 National Indoor Hockey Squads.

Selections will be undertaken at the 2024 National Indoor Championships in Canberra, ACT. The Open Age squads will be selected in preparation for the 2025 Indoor Hockey World Cup. U21 & U18 Squads will be selected with the vision to grow the player base around the country.

Hockey Australia will be selecting a total of 24 athletes (+ 6 emergencies) in each of the following squads:

1. Open Age Men and Women Squads
2. Development (U21s) Men and Women Squads
3. Junior (U18s) Men and Women Squads

With the introduction of a new coaching structure, Hockey Australia has also implemented a new selection process where in which athletes can expect to see a selection panel present, alongside our national coaching team. This has been done to increase the professionalism and standards to which Indoor Hockey is held in Australia. To implement this new structure, Hockey Australia has introduced a nomination fee of $65.00 AUD, which is attributed to supporting our selection panel and processes.

It needs to be noted that athletes will only need to nominate once, even if they are participating in multiple age groups at the National Championships.

Age Eligibility

Senior Squads

Athletes born before 1st January 2005.

Development Squads

Athlete born on or after 1st January 2002.

Junior Squads

Athlete born on or after 1st January 2005.

Financial Eligibility

Players who are not yet financial with Hockey Australia or their respective State or Territory association will not be able to nominate until they achieve financial status. For information regarding your financial position please email accounts@hockey.org.au
