Australia has an outstanding record of developing excellent hockey coaches at all levels of the sport.
Hockey Australia is committed to ensuring there continues to be appropriately qualified coaches at all levels of hockey. We are particularly focused on ensuring that a qualified coach coaches every junior team, helping to nurture a positive learning environment that is fun and encourages juniors to continue to play and learn hockey.
Coaching is a rewarding experience that allows you to help others achieve their potential, learn new skills and meet new people.
Who can become a hockey coach?
Anybody can. You might be a current hockey player, a past player, a parent, teacher or hockey fan. You might already be a hockey coach looking to take your coaching to the next level or a coach in another sport that wishes to turn their hand to one of Australia’s most successful sports codes.
The Hockey Ed accreditation programs are open to those candidates who can be assessed within both the Australian hockey environment and, if necessary, overseas. Click on Coaching Qualifications below to find out more.
