The Hero Honda FIH Men's World Cup, 2010 will take place in New Delhi, India, from February 28 – March 13, 2010 and will feature the top 12 ranked men's hockey nations in the world.

The tournament consists of two pools of six teams, of which Australia is in Pool B. Following the pool phase of the Hero Honda FIH World Cup, the two best ranked teams of each pool will proceed to the semi finals.
